Help Us Stop the Spread of COVID-19
Because we are all Sharing One World, it is important to work together during the COVID crisis. Global Friends is supporting worldwide efforts to protect the most vulnerable.
During COVID, we are selling masks featuring designs by Canadian First Nations to fund the making and distributing personal face masks in Africa. It’s our own form of PPE so we can:
- Protect at risk youth and their communities
- Prevent the spread of COVID and
- Empower as many as possible to stay healthy
Working with our partners in Uganda and Tanzania, we’ve already funded over 25,000 masks in Africa and are now hoping to get to 50,000!
Graduates of our vocational training program in tailoring are fulfilling the orders in Africa for personal masks and our trusted partner ARUWE (Action for Rural Women’s Empowerment) is presenting education programs when delivering the masks to communities and health departments.We are proud to have been named a partner in the National Health Strategy to combat the overwhelming threat COVID-19 in Uganda.
